One year ago I would not have had myself dreamed so an article to write. The question about a Mac actually never stood for me to the debate. Reason were the classical prejudices: too expensively, unnecessary plaything. I had IBM and/or Lenovo a laptop, High end and far more common “industry standard”. And it was not okay or says we it to me anything was missing. At that time I had worked in addition, never longer with a Mac.
Approximately one year ago then a new acquisition was forthcoming. A new laptop had ago. My colleague at that time and today’s partner was at that time already passionate Mac user and proper Apple fan. It placed to me its MacBookPro on the table and said I should one day thereby work. I thought Wow. Optics, Haptik, Usability, integration simply everything convinced me. One year long is that now ago, time for a result.
Productivity & Out OF the box
Since mine functioned simply everything transferred. I am more productive and can concentrate on working. With my Mac I do not have the feeling that he becomes from day to day slower. I do not have to worry also about the regular protection of the data. In the background a Backup is put on once per hour and stored by work on my networks non removable disk. I know also no more Bluescreens and crashes.
I concentrate today on what I want to make straight. If I want to work open unfold I the laptop, if I go to bed push to I it. It is always everything direct like the day before (my MacBook Pro has I for approx. 40 days no longer correctly down-driven). If I want to use a USB equipment stick on I it, if I am finished take off I it. Hardware of problems? I do not know no more. It sounds banal, but there are not most small problems, which one meets with Windows day one day out, with a Mac. And it so often happens to me that I am surprised or simply only baff am. Straight ones yesterday have I the hint get me once iPhoto from Apple to look at. A program for the organization of the picture collection. iPhoto can faces recognize with an accuracy of fire, which I could never myself have presented. Now iPhoto straight works itself by my thousands pictures and at the end can I with one clicks all pictures of my brother to look at. Greatly!
I also stated that my view changed on the computer in the comparison to the training and study time drastically. In former times rum-plays at my PC somehow coolly and less a necessary evil was. It was normal that I had to put the operating system on new at the latest after two months, because the system had become so slow. I was occupied many more with the computer. I had to change much, so that the surface pleased me: of individual screen background and Themes up to these announcements of the CCU activity. Naturally everything as individually as possible. That ate genuinly much time, which I do not have today simply no more. At my Mac I do not need to change all these things today any longer. He pleases me “out OF the box”.
Grown UP computing
If one looks at oneself the increasing spreading of Macs in the private, in addition, in the operational surrounding field (no, not only designer) seems this enthusiasm at ever more people to arrive. For me the work with a Mac reflects the work of an adult. On the Spielereien and annoyances with Windows PC I have simply no more desire and can very well without it do. I promise you, it for you will be worthwhile myself.
Finally also still another appeal to the IT Entscheider, because straight in the professional surrounding field is large the fear the wrong to buy. “Unusual” does not pull really more. There are most programs in equivalent or better for the Mac. One can use the Office Suite problem-free, so that the conversion is marginal. In the everyday life there are then so many details those the work facilitates and makes more pleasant. Times apart from the fact that also the administration of a network of full Macs is a pure joy.
